Materials

After all the visits and consults it's time to discuss about the materials and the manufacturing process wich will be used in the final product.

It is necessary to have clear the parts which will configurate the chair and how this will be joined to occupy as less space as possible. Also all the materials has to be waterproof because it will be used also in the shower.

Materials

Legs: For this we could use the same ones that we used in the prototypes (the adjustable) but we should add some piece in the top to make the connection easier and more safe. This piece could be of wood, which is easier to manipulate than metal and it wouldn't get wet because is inside the other tube.

Base: -Some type of plastic, like thermoplastic, wich are used for garden and exterior furniture. This are resistant and hygienic (PP, PE,...).
-A layer of wood, if this would be very good coated with a waterproof tissue.

Shape: For her comfort, the chair will include an ergonomic shape. To avoid problems with the water, the best option and the slightestwill be fabricate it with plastic or some type of fiber (carbon), making a mold.
In the other hand, it is also possible to make the shape with foam and recover it very well.

Cover: A fabric that can resist and avoid the water so it can protect the internal materials. For example: Gore-Tex, Nylon or Vinyl, very used now, especially in the sports area.
Also apply a stain-resistant treatment, which also makes the waterproof material.

For the union of the cover with the rest of the chair it is possible to use a special glue, resistant to the water, commonly used in the swimming pools, or a plástic zipper.
